History of CYC
CYC is a not-for-profit incorporated club, founded by Barbara Cunningham after the Olympic Games in 1956. The club has operated out of a number of venues over the years, originally starting in a hall in Cheltenham. CYC was the original home of Victoria’s elite gymsports program before Gymnastics Victoria moved to the High Performance Centre in Prahran.
CYC has experienced much success with its athletes over the years, competing at State, National and International levels.
The club offers programs in Gymnastics, Trampolining, Junior Gym and Adult Gymsports. Governed by a volunteer Committee of Management the club currently has approximately 1000 registered athletes and employees 40 coaches
